Sarah de Koning

Sarah de Koning (b. 1992) is a poet based in Ghent, Belgium. She works at an independent bookshop, a place that helps to feed her literary imagination. She draws inspiration from poets such as Friederike Mayröcker, Ariana Reines, F. Harmsen van Beek and Charlotte Mutsaers. Her work has appeared in Belgian and Dutch literary magazines including Het Liegend Konijn and DIG (De Internet Gids). In November 2025 she published her debut poetry collection ‘Textiles’, which was shortlisted for the 2026 Herman de Coninck Prize for Poetry.
