Leo Timmers at Hay Festival

  • 11.30 AM: Join Leo as he reads his book Bear's Lost Glasses and then guides you to create a drawing of your very own Bear. Age 4+. Book your ticket.
  • 4 PM: Join Leo for a picture book illustration workshop. Using examples of his own work, Leo will walk participants through his creative process, demonstrating how to craft stories that play on character creation and narrative development through illustration. Then have a go yourself, with Leo on hand to help guide and advise. Age 12+. Book your ticket.

SCBWI Picture Book Retreat with Leo Timmers

A haven for storytellers and illustrators looking to refine their craft, spark new ideas, and connect with fellow creators. Through workshops, insightful discussions, and dedicated writing and illustrating time, attendees will dive deep into the art of picture books. This year the main speaker will be renowned author illustrator Leo Timmers, celebrated for his vibrant and imaginative picture books.
