The corona virus: how to reach Flanders Literature

Due to the current situation with regard to the corona virus, the Flanders Literature team will work from home as much as possible in the next few weeks. This also means that you cannot reach us by phone at the moment. For all your questions, you can send us an email and we will get back to you as soon as possible. You can find the email addresses of all the team members here.

Grant applications processed as usual

There’s no need to worry about your grant application. Our team will process all applications as usual. We will just do so from home instead of at the office. However, it may take us a little longer to inform you of the grant decision. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Impact on travel

The current situation does have an impact on anything related to travel.

  • The Bologna Children’s Book Fair was cancelled. Meetings that were planned there can be rescheduled to video conferencing (for example through Skype or Zoom). You can also contact us via email with any questions you might have.
  • The Translators’ House is closed until the end of April. If you were planning on applying for a stay at the Translators’ House later this year, be sure to inform yourself on the government measures and the travel advice for your country of residence as well as for Belgium. If you have any questions, please send an email to karen@flandersliterature.be.
  • Travel restrictions and cancelled events may have an impact on travel grant applications. Please send us an email if you have any questions about this, so that we can try to look for a solution together.
