Aline Sax (b. 1984) wrote her first book when she was fifteen, about two German child soldiers at the Normandy beaches on June 6, 1944. Many years and a PhD in history later, Aline is a well-known voice in Flanders as a historical novelist. Many of her books have been nominated for important and international literary prizes, some have even won, and her work has been translated into Danish, German, Swedish and English.
