Anton Jäger

Anton Jäger (b. 1994) is a Belgian historian and commentator. His work deals with the history of ideas, more specifically the relationship between capitalism and democracy. Jäger studied at the universities of Essex and Cambridge and gained his doctorate in 2020. Since then he has been a post-doctoral researcher at the Institute of Philosophy of the KU Leuven. He is the author of ‘A Short Anti-History of Populism’ (2018). Since 2022 he has been a columnist for De Morgen. Jäger contributes to publications including Apache, De Standaard and De Groene Amsterdammer.
