Dirk Verhofstadt

Dirk Verhofstadt (b. 1955) is a doctor in moral philosophy and Professor of Media and Ethics at the University of Ghent. He has written books on political philosophy with titles including ‘Human Liberalism’, ‘Plea for Individualism’ and ‘Atheism as a Basis for Morality’, in which he comes down firmly on the side of a secular society.
