Rudi Rotthier

Rudi Rotthier (b. 1957) studied Music and Philosophy and worked as a journalist for newspaper De Morgen from 1980 until 1989. He has written numerous travel books and received awards, notably for his book 'The Route of Koran', an account of a year travelling through Muslim countries. He wrote 'The Fetish Room'  about the naturalist Redmond O’Hanlon, which was very well received by the English-language press. The Naked Peartree has been shortlisted both for the Socrates Beker and the Bob den Uyl Prize.
