Astrid Alben
Astrid Alben is an author, poet and a translator. Her poems, essays, translations and reviews have been published in a range of publications including ‘The Times Literary Supplement’, ‘Granta’ and the ‘Best of British Poetry Anthology 2015’ (Salt). Her poetry has been translated into several languages, including Romanian, Dutch, Slovenian, Japanese and Chinese. Alben is the editor of three art and science anthologies, all published by Lars Müller Publications.
As a translator she has a preference for translating contemporary Dutch and Flemish poetry into English. She has translated poems by F. Van Dixhoorn, Peter Verhelst, Jeroen Theunissen, Marc Kregting, Tom Van de Voorde, Vrouwkje Tuinman, Gertrude Starink, Ben Zwaal, Bernard Dewulf, Saskia de Jong, Anne Vegter, Arjen Duinker, Paul Demets, Bart Moeyaert, Charlotte Van Den Broeck, Ellen Deckwitz and Marwin Vos.
