David Doherty
David Doherty studied English and literary linguistics in Glasgow before moving to Amsterdam, where he has been working as a translator since 1996. His translations include novels by critically acclaimed Dutch-language authors 'Monte Carlo' by Peter Terrin, 'The Dutch Maiden' (De Nederlandse maagd) by Marente de Moor, 'You Have Me To Love' by Jaap Robben and 'The Dyslexic Hearts Club' (De dyslectische hartenclub) by Hanneke Hendrix, and the work of leading Dutch sports writers 'O, Louis' by Hugo Borst and 'The Man and His Bike' (De man en zijn fiets) by Wilfried de Jong.
