Gül Özlen

Gül Özlen (b. 1956) moved to the Netherlands after completing her secondary education, where she obtained a higher professional education degree. In the Netherlands she was employed as a translator at the Translation Centre in Utrecht. A growing interest in Dutch-language literature led her to focus increasingly on literary translation, and she has been active as in this field since 2000.

Her translations include works by Annie M.G. Schmidt, Matthijs van Boxel, Annelies Verbeke, Annejet van der Zijl, Simon Vestdijk, Arnon Grunberg, Nescio and Peter Goes.
