Laura Vroomen

Laura Vroomen (b. 1972) obtained her diploma in literary translation from University College London in 2004 and has been a full-time translator of Dutch into English since 2007. Based in London, she has translated well over 25 fiction and nonfiction titles, either independently or together with colleagues. These include novels by Ernest van der Kwast, Walter Lucius’ Heartland Trilogy (a collaboration with Lorraine T. Miller), cookbooks by Bart van Olphen, and most recently two books about dementia. She also frequently translates excerpts and other promotional materials for Dutch and Flemish publishers.
