Radka Smejkalova (b. 1973) is a literary translator and journalist. She studied English and American literature, journalism and mass communication at Charles University in Prague, Suffolk University in Boston and Hogeschool Utrecht. As a freelance correspondent she has been covering Belgian political and cultural affairs for various Czech media. Her translation debut was 'Het beste wat we hebben' by Griet op de Beeck, in the meantime she has brought Czech readers also novels by Margot Vanderstraeten and Tom Lanoye and more are in the making.
