Scott Rollins
Scott Rollins (b. 1952) has been a cultural entrepreneur in music, literature and film for more than forty years. He has published three books of his own poetry and one spoken word album.
His translations of Dutch and Flemish poetry have appeared in anthologies and magazines in North America and the UK. He specializes in literature and nonfiction from the Dutch Caribbean (Suriname and the former Netherlands Antilles).
He translated amongst others ‘Driftwood House’ by J. Bernlef, 'A Still Life: Selected Poems 1960-2010’ by J. Bernlef, 'The Music of the Netherlands Antilles – Why 11 Antilleans Knelt before Chopin’s Heart’ by Jan Brokken and ‘Boom’s Blues: Music, Journalism and Friendship in Wartime’ by Wim Verbei.
