Carl Norac
The Walloon author Carl Norac (b. 1960) is known for his successful picture books. He also writes novels for adults, poetry and texts for the theatre. His work has been translated into over 20 languages. A number of his children’s books were inspired by his extensive travels, which took him from sandy deserts to icy Arctic wastes. Norac has worked with Flemish illustrators on several occasions, including Carll Cneut, Gerda Dendooven and Ingrid Godon.
