Joost Vandecasteele

Joost Vandecasteele (b. 1979) writes novels, columns and theatre plays. As well as writing, he is also a comedian, a maker of television programmes, and has developed a literary exploration game for mobile phones. He received the Flemish Debut Prize for ‘How the World Functions Perfectly Without Me’ (Hoe de wereld perfect functioneert zonder mij) in 2009. His break-through novel 'Mass'(Massa, 2012) was nominated for the BNG New Literature Prize and for the Libris Literature Prize.
