English translation for ‘Monte Carlo’

On 28 May, the Monaco Grand Prix will take place in Monte Carlo. The same month sees MacLehose Press’s publication of the English translation of Peter Terrin’s Monte Carlo (translated by David Doherty).

The novel is based around the same Grand Prix in May 1968. The protagonist is a mechanic for Team Lotus, who saves a visiting film star from a terrible accident and then seeks recognition for his bravery.

The book was published last year in Germany, Italy and Japan, and will soon come out in French, Spanish and Catalan.
