Gerd Busse

Gerd Busse (b. 1959) followed a programme in Dutch Studies, alongside his pedagogy, andragogy and political science studies. He is a journalist and, since 1991, also a translator, publicist and literary scout for German and Dutch publishers. His translations into German include Cheese (kaas) and ‘Poems’ by Willem Elsschot, ‘Het geval Freud’ by Han Israëls, ‘Nieuw nabuurschap. Nederland en Duitsland na de val van de muur’ by Jacco Pekelder, ‘Hours with Henk Broekhuis’ (Uren met Henk Broekhuis) by Karel van het Reve and ‘Het Bureau’ by J.J. Voskuil.
