Katelijne De Vuyst

Katelijne De Vuyst (b. 1958) is a freelance translator of French, Modern Greek and English prose and poetry and an editor of poetry in translation at Poëziekrant. She studied Romance languages at the University of Ghent. She has translated numerous books into Dutch and is the regular translator of Olivier Rolin’s work. Since 2007 she has also been translating Dutch and Flemish poetry into French, sometimes in collaboration with francophone colleagues, sometimes alone. Among the writers she has translated are Roland Jooris, Karel Van de Woestijne, Charles Ducal, Erik Spinoy, Delphine Lecompte and Marieke Lucas Rijneveld.
