Marianne Holberg

Marianne Holberg (b. 1939) was born in Hamburg, where she studied German and history. She later went on to teach in Amsterdam and then in various cities in Germany, becoming a freelance translator in 1994. Since 2007, she has lived in Berlin. Holberg has translated work by authors including Maarten ‘t Hart, Hella Haasse, Remco Campert, Ad Dekkers, Marleen Nelen and Jef Aerts.
