Hilde Vandermeeren

Hilde Vandermeeren (b. 1970) wrote a wide range of books for children and young adults before becoming a thriller writer. Within a short space of time she has become a major voice within Flemish crime writing and she is currently one of the genre’s most acclaimed authors. She specialises in psychological thrillers that are tightly and cinematically structured. Her major sources of inspiration are Agatha Christie, Roald Dahl as well as British quality. Vandermeeren’s work prioritizes psychological depth and character interaction. Key in this regard is the author’s background as a trained psychologist.
