Catherine Tron-Mulder

Catherine Tron-Mulder (b. 1973) has been a full-time translator from Dutch, English and Italian into French since 2004. She holds a degree in Dutch language and civilisation from the Sorbonne-Paris IV university and has trained at the École de traduction littéraire (ETL, Paris) and at the Centre européen de traduction littéraire (CETL, Brussels).

Catherine translates fiction and non-fiction, among which children’s books (for Flammarion/Père Castor, Rue du monde, La Martinière jeunesse…), art books (for publishers and museums such as Actes Sud and the Fondation Vincent van Gogh Arles) and comic books, including one by Maarten Toonder, Tom Pouce et les cracasseurs (Tom Poes en de Krakers).

Recent translation projects include a selection of letters by Vincent van Gogh (La nuit est une couleur - Lettres de laborieux ravissement) and Terra Ultima, la découverte d’un continent inconnu (Terra Ultima, de ontdekking van een onbekend continent, winner of the Gouden Penseel 2022), with artworks by Raoul Deleo and texts by Noah J. Stern.
