Goedele De Sterck

Goedele De Sterck (b. 1966) was born in Flanders, but has been living in Spain since 1989. She has a doctorate in Spanish linguistics and works part-time at the Faculty of Translation Studies at the Universidad de Salamanca. De Sterck combines translation theory and teaching with practice. She has more than fifteen years’ experience of translating fiction (by authors including Erwin Mortier, Tommy Wieringa, Nescio, Ida Simons, Paul van Ostaijen and Frederik van Eeden), literary nonfiction (for example, Frank Westerman, Lieve Joris, Geert Mak and Suzanna Jansen) and books for children and young adults (for example, Guus Kuijer, André Sollie, Toon Tellegen and Peter Verhelst). She translates from Dutch into Spanish for publishing houses in Spain and Latin America.
