Mateja Seliškar Kenda

Mateja Seliškar Kenda (b. 1972) studied comparative literary theory, French and Dutch in Ljubljana. She earned her doctorate in literary theory with a dissertation on  Dutch and Flemish avant-garde poetry. Since 1998 she translates Dutch, Flemish and French literature for adults and children.

She has also compiled and translated various anthologies of Dutch and Flemish short stories and poetry. Additionally she has translated works by Annie M.G. Schmidt, Cees Nooteboom, Toon Tellegen, Arnon Grunberg, Guus Kuijer, Hugo Claus, W.F. Hertmans, Gerard Reve and Tom Lanoye.
