Iwona Mączka

Iwona Mączka (b. 1974) studied Dutch at the University of Wrocław and German language and culture at the University of Leiden. Since them she has worked as a freelance researcher and literary translator. She is the founder and a board member of the Literatura foundation, aimed at promoting Dutch and Flemish literature in Poland.

She has translated many children's and youth books, such as the Otto series by Tom SchampLittle White Fish by Guido van Genechten and Timeline by Peter Goes. Other translations include the novel ‘Summer House with Swimming Pool’ by Herman Koch.
