Elvis Peeters (b. 1957) writes fiction, poetry, scripts and children’s books. He is also a musician and performer. In his novels, he succeeds in raising a fascinating moral issue through what appears to be just a story. He reached a wide audience with The Uncountables. His controversial novel Us received a great deal of press attention, and is filmed in 2017. Hunt depicts the biotope of man as an animal among animals. Hinterland is a claustrophobic novel about solidarity and individuality, which makes us think about the way we treat the earth and our fellow man.
