Christine Barkhuizen-Le Roux

Christine Barkhuizen-Le Roux (b. 1959) made her debut as an author in 2000, with the poetry collection ‘Dimension’ (Dimensie), which was received with praise. In the following years she published various short stories, poems, contributions to magazines and the novels ‘Padmaker’, ‘Getuie’ and ‘Drieklawerbaar’.

In addition, Le Roux translates Dutch fiction into Afrikaans, examples being A Day with Mr. Jules (De buitenkant van Meneer Jules) by Diane Broeckhoven and ‘Papavers'’ by Ingrid Vander Veken.
